I wonder whether you are aware of how a dog understand it’s world and how this shapes the way it behaves.

When you really begin to appreciate how dogs think and learn naturally, then you can guide them to be balanced and well mannered.  It is what happens every day at home that determines how well balanced and social your dog is.

One of the things, I and my clients experience about using the technique I teach, is how quickly their dog learns to use self control with their behaviour.

The training addresses the 4 elements where leadership is displayed, Feeding, Hunting (walk), Reuniting (status) and Perceived Danger. Your dog is constantly trying to understand its position in the pack and therefore, what job is it tasked to perform. It is natural to think that since an owner provides food, shelter and security, that they must be the leader but this needs to be communicated in a language your dog understands. Applying this technique in a calm consistent manner will enable you to do this.

How would it feel if you knew your dog would be happy and relaxed, in any situation.

I used to look at my dog Smokey & think, “If you were a little smarter you could tell me what you’re thinking,” & he’d look at me like he was saying, “If you were a little smarter I wouldn’t have to.”
